The memory of the1950 World Cup, more than 60 years ago, still haunts many Brazilians. In a stadium, Maracanã, filled with over 200,000 spectators, Brazil lost the final to Uruguay.

There is some concern regarding accommodation capacity, will there be enough beds for everyone traveling to Brazil?
In this regard, a lot of work is being done to develop alternative accommodation like Bed & Breakfasts. In many cities, municipalities have undertaken training and qualification projects in order to offer tourists and athletes quality B&Bs. The Bed & Breakfast Brazil network is the most qualified agency operating in Brazil, and offers various types of accommodation in Brazil on the BBrasil.com website in the host cities for the 2014 World Cup and other places of touristic interest throughout Brazil.
